Something very ...i don't know what to call this...but this happened today
i was on my way back to home from my class, just after i crossed the signal i was in between the crowd of vehicles..a girl of around 13 or 14 yrs was going on her way suddenly a carwala (stupid man) just came in front of her..they were just about to collide.crashhhhhhhh
but it didn't happen..wat happened was this
carwala - aare madem dekh ke chalo
girl - mein toh side se hi ja rahi hu...aap
carwala - (cutting her lines) dekh ke chalo madem....mar war jaogi
and he went away in full speed
girl back to her way...a bit conscious...and with silly felling of MADAM
this is the most common word faced by almost all females of different age groups...
these stupid people are always ready to blame madams on road
"jaise road inke pitaji ki hai"..huh

I have experienced this many a time, both while walking or driving.
Such comments are passed only by big-time MCPs usually.
Cest la vie.Sigh!
Have a nice weekend :)
have seen this and more on delhi roads...the week i was there last year...
seems like the males of the north dont have any respect...so much ego floating around...especially in the way they treat women...
guess it will take some time for things to chnage...
tum bade respect se dialogue marti ho. arre ye kaho na road kya tumhare baap ki hai.
just kidding
niway gud post.
there's a lot of fun in ma new blog come someday.
Lmao =))
Quite witty but true at times :)
These carwales should be nailed down in ground -where-they-belong- lol
I hope carwalis are not this rude :D
I liked your punch line- but instead of pitaji, I would have used Baap...that would have been far more authentic you know....
@ sameera
yeah...
and not only carwalas...many others also pass such comments.
u too hav a nice weekend..

hi...visiting ur blog 4 the first time..must tel u 2 things.. i love the name of ur blog 'ESCORTING LIFE TO DEATH'..really induces optimism into us...very good...n secondly JOIE-DE-VIVRE...being a french student and somehow, I'm so inclined to the word 'exuberance'...that made me read ur blog...

Happens with me quiet a lot!
When I commute to work on my cycle...
And since i am no "Madam", I get to hear, "Ghar pe bol ke aaya kya?" & "Marneko meri gaadi hi mila kya?"
ROTFL...
what's worse is.. this "madam" is said in a tone that's 'accusing' and that gets very irritating :/
@ iceman
That was ROTFL! :D
Educated / Uneducated -- kisi mein farak ni raha hai! :/
sahi hai yaar....kitni baar hota hai....n madam word se hi chid mach gyi hai....n sach hai these car wallas...feel like kickin them hard...n aprt frm this,
guys on bikes, agar aap normal speed mein bhi inse aage nikal jao to itna dil par kyu lete hai? itno ego ko hurt kyu karta hai? kaise bhi aapse aage nikalenge....hadd hai....
LOL...

I think that when people drive, they see the pedestrians through a different pair of eyes :-?
Did you read the incident of Ankur's accident on his blog?
arre madam zara sambhalke..
ab bechare ppl knw jus one word tht sounds respectable .. thank god that they dun say auntyji zara sambhal ke
@ rehaan
well m not sayin dey r eveteasers..
but yes its irritatin wen people call u madem in such way
@ viajero
hmm unka bhi din aayega..
;)
@ sol
nop..i havnt read dat yet..
i'l go thru it.
its like something u often at stations or buses....ladiej hain...
something like... ladiej seat pe mat baithiye
that doesn't sound much better either...but they try their best to converse in hinglish as they can...
ofcourse that doesn't excuse them from driving rash...
@ abhishek
oye aunty bolta toh wahi dho deti usko!!
hehe
@ mystique wanderer
hmm..hai toh sai baat
but..on roads situation alag hai..
i mean buri hai
most of the times i saw that it was girl's mistake but still people think that only man commit those mistaks which is totally wrong
manier times it's girl's mistake and to proove it these kind of words have to be used
so i think it's not wrong
man din't abused her , he just said her to drive properly
@ pratul
huh...was xpected dis frm u...
u always hav trouble wid women's i hav seen..
well dis is wat females hav xperienced and i hope u r not among those stupid carwalas...or bikewalas
Hahaha..
nice one, Madam!
but tell you what.. these "madams" are often caught doing silly things while driving/walking..
the other day I was driving and a young female was crossing the road.I kept up with my pace, as i had calculated that she would cross safely by the time i reach there but to my SHOCK,she stood there, bang in the middle of the road!!
now what'd you call this??
nyz,it's a one off incident so all those females who're wanting to eat me up after reading this, plz spare me!
@ jayant
hmm
dat mayb an incident..not necessarily always such things happen..
and mayb ur calculation wud hav gone wrong..thoda plus minus ki gadbad ya division mein..
haha
